The Domaine Bersi Serlini has its origins in the Middle Ages; the monks of Cluny, of the nearby Abbey of San Pietro in Lamosa in Provaglio d’Iseo, built the historic building of the cellars, an agricultural and wine dependency: large walls, built with field stones, with splendid barrel, sail and cross vaults.
After more than 700 years of belonging to the monks of Cluny, the property passed to private owners and in 1886 to the Bersi Serlini family. Enlarged in the second half of the 20th century by his grandfather, lawyer Piero Bersi Serlini, and then restructured by the visionary guidance of his son Arturo, who in 1970 produced the first bottle of Brut in Franciacorta, the Bersi Serlini winery is still a family-owned business today.
